Aid for earthquake victims in Morocco from SOS Children's Villages
Luckily, the SOS Children's Village was not affected and the children, mothers and staff are unhurt. Damage in the immediate vicinity is extensive though and many houses have been destroyed in Imzouren. Aid for earthquake victims in Morocco from SOS Children's Villages
27/02/04 - A serious earthquake hit the area around the SOS Children's Village Imzouren in El Hoceima in Morocco during the night of 24 February. Emergency aid to the earthquake victims is being provided by the SOS Children's Village in Imzouren.

Luckily, the SOS Children's Village was not affected and the children, mothers and staff are unhurt. Damage in the immediate vicinity is extensive though and many houses have been destroyed in Imzouren. SOS Children's Villages is now working with the local authorities to provide immediate aid and relief for the local community. 

Homeless families are being accommodated in the kindergarten and the school in the SOS Children's Village Imzouren.  Food and clothing is also being provided, much of which has been donated by local companies and friends of SOS Children's Villages.    

SOS Children's Villages is very well known in Morocco, and the response in donations of both goods and money to help victims has been swift.
