The SOS Children's Village Almaty is situated a little above the city of Almaty, next to a high-standard residential area. From the Village, you have a nice view of the hills nearby and a footpath along the close river invites you to enjoy long walks. On the hill above the Village, a number of one-family homes are being constructed at the moment. Near the Children's Village, there are some hospitals, markets, a secondary school and a college.
The SOS Children's Village Almaty comprises 11 family houses, the house of its director, a guest house, a house for the aunts, a community centre and some administrative buildings as well as an SOS kindergarten.
