The site on which the SOS Children's Village was built has an extension of about 9000 mē. It consists of 12 family houses, the Village Director's house, a Community Centre and an SOS Kindergarten. Sports facilities and a swimming pool are also at the children's disposal. Only a few hundred metres from the SOS Children's Village there is an elementary school, a polytechnic school and a university. Other facilities for training and education in Arica are within easy reach for the children.
