The SOS Children's Village Astana is situated in a middle class residential area with some schools, hospitals, shops and markets nearby. The next railway station is at a distance of 5 kilometres, the international airport of Astana at a distance of 15 kilometres.
The SOS Children's Village Astana comprises twelve family houses for up to 120 children, a house for its director, an aunts' house, a multi purpose hall, a community house, some administrative buildings as well as a SOS kindergarten.
