The SOS Children's Village Baku is situated in a very beautiful spot, about 14 kilometres of the city centre of Baku. In the vicinity of the SOS Children's Village a lot of olive and pine trees are growing as well as cane, giving a home to a large number of wild ducks. From some of the buildings within the SOS Children's Village, there is a grand view of the Caspian Sea. Due to the nearby sea, there is always a pleasantly fresh breeze. The SOS Children's Village Baku is neighboured by a middle class residential area with schools and kindergartens nearby. The airport of Baku, Bina, is at a distance of about 25 kilometres of the SOS Children's Village.
The SOS Children's Village Baku comprises fourteen family houses, a house for the director and one for the aunts, some administrative buildings and a SOS kindergarten. The latter will also be open to the children of the neighbourhood, which will contribute tremendously to the SOS Children's Village's integration into its surroundings.
