The SOS Children's Village Bande is located in the French speaking part of Belgium, Wallonia in the province of Luxembourg about 100 km from the capital city Brussels, 40 km from the capital city of the province, Namur and approx. 30 km from the Luxembourgian border. The biggest city newt to Bande is Marche en Famenne in a distance of about 13 km. Marche en Famenne with its 16.400 inhabitants is the second largest city of the province after Arlon.
The SOS Children's Village comprises 7 family houses giving a loving home to a number of approx. 40 children. The house of the Village Director and a former farmhouse that has been renovated and is being used as a community centre are also part of the infrastructure of the SOS Children's Village. Since 1996, an SOS Day Care Centre is accommodated in this community house where up to 70 children from the neighbourhood aged from 0 to 6 can be looked after.
