The first SOS families moved into rented apartments in 1973, in 1992 seven family houses were built by the organisation. The house of the Village Director and the community centre are also part of the SOS Children's Village Carros-le-Neuf, whose garden is used as a vast playground by the approx. 30 children living at the SOS Children's Village.
