The SOS Children's Village Chiclayo is located in the city of the same name on the north coast of the Pacific, close to the border to Ecuador, about 780 km from the capital, Lima. The SOS Children's Village Chiclayo was erected in 1983 on a 17 hectares site, about 2 km from the city centre. It comprises a Village Director's house, a Community House and 13 family houses. The SOS Kindergarten is also attended by children from the neighbourhood. The SOS Children's Village can easily be reached by bus and taxi; the airport of Chiclayo is situated at a distance of just 5 km.
