Our Facilities

SOS-Kinderdorf International started its work in Chile in 1965 opening the first SOS Children's Village in Concepción, on 10 May 1965. In 1967, the corner stone of the second SOS Children's Village was laid in Madreselvas (Santiago de Chile). In 1969, on 19 of February, the SOS Children's Village Bulnes was put in operation, followed by the SOS Children's Villages Chaimávida in 1972, Coyancó in 1975 and Los Aromos on 10 March 1979.

In 1981, the SOS Children's Village Malleco was inaugurated in Central Chile, in 1983 the SOS Children's Village Quilpué with 14 family houses, Puerto Varas on 16 January 1984 and Antofagasta on 15 December 1987. By celebrating the inauguration of the SOS Children's Villages Arica in 1988 and Curicó on 9 October 1996, the most recent projects of SOS-Kinderdorf International were completed in Chile.
