A partnership with SOS Children's Villages offers many benefits. As well as enhancing a company's image, both internally and externally, it can be used to boost staff morale and build customer loyalty, as well as providing PR opportunities. Companies and associations that SOS Children's Villages UK work with include Kuoni Travel After six successful years, our partnership with Kuoni Travel comes to an end in 2004. Kuoni UK and their employees have worked together to raise funds for many SOS projects, including computers and furniture for SOS schools in Kenya and Sri Lanka, mini-buses for villages in Egypt and India, vaccination programmes against hepatitis B in Sri Lanka and water purifiers for the SOS Children's Village in Bali. Virgin Atlantic SOS Children's Villages was chosen by Virgin Healthcare Foundation as the beneficiary charity for their Change for Children appeal on all Virgin Atlantic flights between May and July 2002. Supported by an in-flight video, passengers were asked to donate their small change and the appeal raised over £106,000. Shell Aviation In September 2002, members of the international Shell Aviation Management Leadership Team took part in a 26 mile triathlon fundraising event in London. Over £110,000 was raised for SOS Children's Villages in Russia, Cambodia, Malawi and Brazil. FIFA The goal of the partnership with FIFA [the umbrella organisation for all national football associations] and SOS Children's Villages is to support children and young people from SOS Children's Villages, by drawing the attention of football audiences worldwide to the plight of abandoned and neglected children, and FIFA's social commitment to them.
