Our Facilities

SOS Children's Villages started its work in the Dominican Republic in the early '80s. In 1982, the inauguration of the first SOS Children's Village of the country, the SOS Children's Village Los Jardines del Norte, took place. Construction of a second SOS Children's Village started the same year. In 1985, the SOS Children's Village Los Mina was inaugurated by , the founder of the Organisation SOS Children's Villages.

Both SOS Children's Villages are located in the capital of the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo. The names of the SOS Villages indicate the respective districts of the town where the SOS Children's Villages have been set up.
