Our Facilities
The work of SOS-Kinderdorf International in Equatorial Guinea started in the summer of 1991 by establishing the first contacts between the organisation and the government of Equatorial Guinea regarding the construction of an SOS Children's Village.
In 1992, a co-operation agreement was signed by the government of Equatorial Guinea and SOS-Kinderdorf International. In May 1994, the government of Equatorial Guinea donated a large site in Bata to SOS-Kinderdorf International on which the construction of the SOS Children's Village Bata was to be begun two years later.
