Medlanky Czech's third SOS Children's Village is situated in Medlanky, close to the city of Brno in Southern Moravia.

As the location of the second SOS Children's Village in Georgia Kutaisi, the second largest city of Georgia in the western part of the country, has been chosen. The population in western Georgia still suffers from poverty due to the civil war in the early 1990s. Kutaisi has approx. 200,000 inhabitants and is situated about 200 kilometres away from Tbilisi. The 2.5 ha site was donated by the state of Georgia.Construction work commenced in January 2001 and was completed in autumn 2002. The SOS Children's Village Kutaisi comprises twelve family houses, an administrative building, houses for the village directors and the aunties, a workshop, a guest house and staff quarters. Up to a hundred children will find a new home in our SOS Children's Village Kutaisi.
