Our Facilities
In the Lebanon, SOS Children's Village began its work in the early sixties. The first SOS Children's Village was opened at Bhersaf. It is located in Metn, Mont-Liban area. The official opening ceremony took place in 1969. The second SOS-Children's Village Sferai is situated in the south of Lebanon, about 65 km from Beyrout. It was opened in 1981 by in person.
The SOS Social Centre "SOS Entraide" was established in Mkallčs in 1986 with the aim of helping socially deprived women and widows and their children. 20 women have found a job in the workshop in Mkallčs. In 1993, a house in Jouar-Khanchara in the Mont-Liban area was donated to the Lebanese SOS Association for 99 years. The building was renovated and transferred into a SOS Training and Holiday Centre. In the same year construction of the SOS Children's Village Kfarhay was started in northern Lebanon. It was finished and started to operate in 1995.
