Our Facilities
SOS Children's Villages began its work in Mexico in 1967. Four years later, the first SOS Children's Village opened its doors in Mexico City. During the following decades SOS Children's Villages and adjoining SOS Social Centres, which are at the disposal of the local people, have been erected all over the country.
There is the second SOS Children's Village Hampolol on the peninsula Yucatan, the construction of which started in 1978; the third SOS Children's Village Huehuetoca, which was opened in 1988; the forth SOS Children's Village Tehuacán (construction started in 1989); the fifth SOS Children's Village Tijuana near the border with the United States (construction started in 1991); and the sixth SOS Children's Village Comitán in Chiapas, which is operating since 1999.
