The SOS Children's Village is situated on a 8 hectares site and comprises 14 family houses, a Village Director's house, a laundry and a cabinet-maker's shop. The young people live in the SOS Youth Home and in the Girls' Residence during the time of their vocational training while they prepare themselves for independence. There is also a hot-house and a well run fruit and vegetable plantation. Another step towards the SOS Children's Village's self-sufficiency has been made by setting up a piggery. Around 150 poor children from the neighbourhood are given a warm meal daily in the SOS Social Centre which is part of the SOS Children's Village.
