Our organisation
SOS Children's Villages UK is a member of SOS-Kinderdorf International, a not-for-profit organisation registered in Austria, that co-ordinates the work of SOS Children's Villages throughout the world.
The aim of SOS Children UK, a registered charity established in 1968, is to support the worldwide work of SOS Children in caring for children who have no-one else to look after them. This is done regardless of race, creed, gender or politics.

SOS Children helps children in 125 countries worldwide. In all countries, the model is to form a national association. The UK association chooses projects and countries to support (together with its donors) and raises funds for them from UK sponsors and donors. The money will only go to member associations which comply with SOS-KDI's statutes and principles for child care and education and financial and administrative practices.

SOS Children relies primarily on donations from individuals. Much of this support is through the sponsorship of villages or individual children. All sponsorship contributions are sent without deduction to the particular SOS Children operation in a given country.
