Our Facilities
The work of SOS-Kinderdorf International in Poland began in 1977 with the construction of the first Polish SOS Children's Village in Bilgoraj. The first SOS mothers and their children moved into their new homes on 12 August 1983. The construction of the second SOS Children's Village started in 1988 and on 1st September 1991, the first families moved in.
In 1996, the third Polish SOS Children's Village Siedlce started to be constructed, the construction was finished in July 1998 and at the beginning of the month of October, the children and SOS mothers moved to the most recent SOS project in Poland.
In the city of Lublin, there is an SOS Youth House which was finished in June 1997 and where all together 40 adolescents from the SOS Children's Villages stay during their vocational and higher educational training. In this way, the young boys and girls get used to an independent life outside the SOS Children's Village step by step.
