The fourth SOS Children's Village was completed in 1995. It has been set up in the town of San Miguel, which is located close to the Honduran border. The Village is situated in a residential area near the city centre and the station. It consists of the family houses, a library, offices and a tailoring workshop.
Furthermore, the SOS Children's Village runs an SOS Day Care Centre which comprises a crèche and an SOS Kindergarten. The extensive green areas and the orchard offer much space for the children to move about freely. The infrastructure is well developed: Schools and shops are within easy reach of the SOS Children's Village.
