Seaford Rise
Country information
The SOS Children's Village Seaford Rise comprises eight family houses, the erection of two more family houses is planned. The family houses are clustered around a small park and a central cul de sac roadway so that the children can play safely in the village area. The houses were specifically designed to blend in with all the other private homes in the suburb so that the SOS Children's Village is indistinguishable from neighbouring homes. The Seaford Rise community with many volunteers and neighbours strongly supported the construction of the SOS Children's Village and is still helping with child support, building and garden maintenance, bicycle repairs and sports coaching.

The SOS Children's Village Seaford Rise is located right in the middle of a modern suburban area and the children and youth are fully integrated into the local community. Schools and vocational training facilities are nearby and easily accessible. The SOS children also belong to the local church community. Universities are within easy travel by bus from the village. The SOS Children's Village is surrounded by parks and private homes with beautiful gardens, there are secure bicycle paths and sports facilities. One of Australia's most beautiful beaches can be easily reached by car or bicycle. The SOS families often go on trips to the beach, where they are cycling, picnicking, playing and swimming. Several large farms are situated close to the SOS Children's Village Seaford Rise, one of them is offering camping facilities for children. Horse riding, sheep mustering, sheep shearing, bush walks and camp fire singing are just some of the activities enjoyed there by the SOS children.
