Sponsorship of a child

Sponsoring really means helping or supporting someone. When you sponsor a child, you will be helping orphaned and abandoned children. You will be their protector, helping them grow up in a family of their own. And most satisfying it that, you will be giving them a future: not just for a few weeks but for their whole lifes.

Your sponsorship money will help the child you sponsor (who will be a child we care for directly), as well as giving access to healthcare and education to others in the community. Where there are no local schools, you sponsorship will help provide one. When your sponsored child eventually reaches adulthood, they can go on to lead full and independent lives. You could of course just make a donation. But anyone working in the charity sector will tell you that raising money that way is quite expensive for the charity. Regular donations give the maximum possible to the child in need. But then you may be left wondering where the money goes. When you sponsor a child, you get to see the real results as the child grows up in love over the years. Your support is far from drop in the ocean' but is actually making a difference. And for the children, who are coping with having no parents there for them, there's comfort from knowing that someone, even on the other side of the world, is looking out for them.
